Grateful And Blessed
As we look back on the year to date, Harmony Enterprises has a lot to be thankful for. We are truly grateful and blessed to have wonderful employees, vendors, customers, service providers, and community members. We want to take a moment during this week of Thanksgiving to recall just some of the many blessings we are grateful for in 2023.
Trade Show Presence
After a nearly three year hiatus due to the pandemic, we were thrilled to once again be able to be a featured exhibitor at a national trade show. This past June, Harmony soared at the 95th AAAE show in Denver!
Although Harmony already provides solutions for airport waste in places like Atlanta, Indianapolis, Dallas-Fort Worth, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, New York, and Seattle, the show allowed Harmony to personally connect with airport decision makers from all over the country, providing hands-on demonstrations of our airport compactors. These hands-free automatic machines reduce waste by a minimum of 11:1, saving on labor and accessories, all while improving the traveler experience. All of our airport waste solutions utilize our Insite Wireless Monitoring technology, integrating into airport systems to alert their staff to empty or service the machines on a “just in time” basis!
Look for more deployments of our innovative compactors at major U.S. airports in 2024!
Increased Efficiencies
Harmony is always looking at ways to improve our processes and production efficiencies. By doing this, we are able to speed up production time, reduce labor expenses, and pass on the savings and quality to our customers.
This year, we ramped up production by our robotic welder to provide even more efficiency through process automation. Our Robotic Welder Specialists, Engineers, and Production Team were busy creating jigs and programming our robotic welder for a variety of jobs. Some examples of these include baler pivot shafts, platen guides, clean out rods, and compactor guide islands. With each part, the robot is able to turn out consistently high quality parts in a fraction of the time it used to take.
We also made it easier for our customers to access, download, and print owner’s manuals for their vertical balers. By implementing QR code decals for manuals on all of these space saving recycling machines, we saved both our company and our customers time and money.
Grateful For Customer Success
Like every year, we loved highlighting the success our customers are having in their waste and recycling efforts, utilizing one of our many models of recycling balers and trash compactors.
We were proud to share the story of the Grupo de Reciclaje de Volcán, a Panamanian recycling company dedicated to reducing HDPE, PET, OCC, Tetra Pak, and plastic bag waste in rural areas of the country. With the use of a Harmony M30STD vertical baler, they area able ship 38 tons of 15 different categories of recyclables every two weeks!
We also featured the great work being done by Goodwill Duluth, keeping waste out of the landfills. With the help of four different Harmony balers, including a new M60STD vertical baler, this innovative group is able to generate an incredible $200/hr. recycling revenue for their salvage market!
If you have a waste or recycling success story, we would love to hear about it!
Industry Partner of The Year
This spring, we were humbled to be nominated for Industry Partner of the Year Award through the Southeast Service Cooperative in Minnesota. This award celebrated southeast Minnesota partners who built youth skillsets and mindsets through real-world, hands-on, career-connected learning experiences that serve as a ladder to prosperity.
Whether its providing educational tours for students and the public, working with local organizations to write grants for and implement meaningful summer internships, or providing youth employment opportunities to students with barriers to employment, Harmony is proud to be committed to the youth in our community!
Waste & Recycling Resource
There are many ways that Harmony prides itself on being the resource for all things waste and recycling. From our free monthly e-newsletter to our informative blog posts about the latest trends, equipment, and Harmony community, we are here to help.
We continued to add to our extensive video library throughout the year. This year, we added a video for our latest vertical baler, the M46HD, as well as our time tested T60XDRC recycling center baler. These videos offer both sales and operational footage of our long lasting equipment.
Grateful & Blessed With Our Employees
Harmony is fortunate to have some of the most knowledgeable and talented employees working as part of our team. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to ensure the satisfaction of our customers, participate in community organizations and events, and improve our career, community, culture, and company.
We highlighted several employees who, through both intrinsic motivation and our company’s commitment to providing career advancement, have changed their roles within our company.
We were also thrilled to have hired new employees to our work family, including our Harmony Europe Support Manger, Jonathon Cremer.
