Harmony Nominated For Industry Partner Of The Year Award
Each year, the Southeast Service Cooperative in Minnesota presents its Outstanding Industry Partner of the Year Awards, celebrating southeast Minnesota partners who build youth skillsets and mindsets through real-world, hands-on, career-connected learning experiences that serve as a ladder to prosperity.
Harmony Enterprises is proud to announce that regional educators, training partners, community organizations, and peers have nominated Harmony for the Industry Partner of the Year Award! Nominated organizations support career-connected learning opportunities for youth that help provide career awareness and readiness skills, while developing pathway exposure for them to enter into careers available at Harmony Enterprises.
On April 14th, local legislators, educators, employers, and professionals gathered to celebrate the connections made and partnerships developed over the past year to increase awareness of local careers that fuel our economy and career-connected learning opportunities that lead students to employment in those careers.
This two-part event included:
- A labor market update from Amanda O’Connell, Southeast & South Central Regional Analyst at the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development
- A Year in Review: Learn about the efforts that have taken place over the past year and the impact it’s had on southeast Minnesota
- The crowning of the Industry Partner of the Year Award!
Harmony would like to congratulate all of this year’s other nominees, including LAX Fabricating, Flex Craft, Innovance, McNeilus Steel, Midwest Ag Electric, Inc. Mayo Clinic Invest In Success Scholars, and Hormel Institute.
Special congratulations to this year’s Industry Partner of the Year, Hormel Institute.
This event is made possible by generous sponsors, including Workforce Development, Inc. and the Future Ready CTE grant.
Harmony As An Industry Partner
Harmony cares about our local youth and is committed to helping them with work readiness. That’s why we collaborate with Bluff Country Career Navigators and the SSC to conduct mock interviews with high school students. We work with the City of Harmony and Harmony Chamber of Commerce to write grants and have student interns in the summer. We also offer a variety of educational plant tours for students from several area schools and senior citizen organizations throughout the year.
Harmony was one of the first business partner members of the FutureFoward portal, connecting business with regional schools to promote learning experiences for area high school students.
We work closely with our area Workforce Development Inc. offices, Southeast Service Cooperative, and Bluff Country Career Navigators to provide youth employment opportunities to students with barriers to employment.
Get Involved In Your Community
Harmony Enterprises would like to thank Bluff Country Navigators, the SSC, and WDI for their continued partnerships, allowing us to be more involved with the youth in our community. We encourage your business to get involved with student career pathways planning where you live!
