Market Status: Strong

OCC remains one of the stronger recovered commodity markets this week. Consistent domestic mill demand and relatively tight supplies continue to support favorable values. Clean, dry corrugated cardboard with minimal contamination remains best positioned to attract dependable buyer interest and stronger returns.

MIXED PAPER

Market Status: Stable to Slightly Up

Mixed paper markets remain stable with modestly improving values supported by steady domestic demand. Although pricing remains below OCC, recent movement indicates a healthier market than at the beginning of the year. Proper sorting and reduced contamination continue to improve marketability and buyer interest.

PET

Market Status: Weak

PET markets continue to face pricing pressure as available supply outpaces near term demand in several regions. Domestic recycled resin demand remains present, but buyer selectivity and uneven processing capacity are limiting meaningful price recovery. Clean, well sorted PET bales with minimal contamination remain the most marketable while overall values continue to lag behind paper and aluminum.

ALUMINUM UBC

Market Status: Strong

Aluminum used beverage container markets remain strong, supported by steady mill demand, tight supply conditions and favorable underlying aluminum values. UBC pricing strengthened again entering this week, reinforcing aluminum’s position as one of the most valuable commonly recovered materials. Clean, densely baled cans continue to command the strongest buyer interest.

STEEL CANS

Market Status: Stable

Steel can markets remain stable this week as balanced supply and demand conditions limit significant price movement across the broader ferrous scrap market. Domestic mill demand remains steady but measured, supporting consistent outlets without creating strong upward pricing pressure. Clean steel cans that are properly separated, emptied and densely baled remain best positioned for efficient handling and dependable buyer interest.
