Recycling aluminum is proven to have positive impacts on the overall economy and the global environment. Scrap sellers can earn significant revenue per ton, which provides an incentive for individuals and businesses to consider an aluminum recycling program. And, producing aluminum products from recycled aluminum metal saves around 90 percent of the energy required to make it in normal production.

Harmony’s Aluminum Balers
Harmony’s balers are designed to create consistently dense bales of specific sizes of specific products. Before deciding which aluminum baler would be the best solution for your business, you need to know:

Vertical Balers – All of the models listed below are capable of creating uniform dense bales of aluminum products. Vertical aluminum balers are ideal for use when operational space may be limited, volume is small to intermediate in size, and budget may be a concern. Most are loaded through the feed opening in the front of the baler and include a hydraulic eject system. The S60XDRC and T60XDRC offer conveyor options for continuous automatic feeding of aluminum.
M30HD – This robust small baler has a larger 4.5″ cylinder and provides up to 41,350 lbs. of ram force. This increased ram force creates more dense 22″ x 42″ x ≤ 30″ bales of even the most stubborn products. It has been used by customers on a variety of types of aluminum scrap, including cans and extruded aluminum pieces.
M42HD – Although this is often sold as a shrink wrap baler, the heavy duty construction and hydraulics of this 42″ baler make it a perfect fit for those who want a little larger bale than that provided by the M30HD. It operates under an 8′ ceiling and has an incredibly fast and efficient cycle time of 37 seconds.
M48HD- This 48″ baler has the power of larger vertical balers in a more compact design. It has a lower cost of operation, compared to larger vertical balers, but only makes bales that are 48W”x 30D”x≤ 48H” in size. With heavy duty hydraulics, motors, and steel construction, this midsize baler is an ideal solution for small to intermediate volumes of aluminum.
M60STD – Our standard 60″ baler with a powerful 6″ cylinder that handles a variety of materials, including aluminum, producing a 30”x 60” ≤ 51” mill-sized bale. Mill-sized bales are often preferred by recyclers, so it is important to check with your local buyer to make sure they pay for bales in the size of your baler.
S60XD/XDRC- This heavy duty baler has a 7″ cylinder and fast 39″ second cycle time, making 30”x 60”x 48” bricks of aluminum. The 20HP motor and extra long 64″ stroke allow this baler to have ram penetration to within 10″ of the floor of the baler. The XDRC option allows it to be conveyor feed for automatic feeding and cycling.
T60XD/XDRC – Like the S60 series, the T60 can be conveyor fed for higher volume operations. It also creates a mill-sized 30”x 60” ≤ 48” bale, but uses a 10″ cylinder with twin torque tubes for even more dense bales. This machine is preferred by recycling centers who need to save on space.
Horizontal Balers – These models of horizontal aluminum balers have shear blade technology to allow for continuous feeding of the product without fear of jamming during cycling. They are able to produce high volumes of dense mill-sized bales quickly, and through a variety of feeding configurations.
HM-60 Closed Door Horizontal Baler – Harmony’s most popular horizontal baler that produces aluminum bales that measure 30″ H x 60″ W x 45″ L and weigh up to 700 lbs. The HM-60 has a 7″ color touch HMI, interlocking steel chassis, Brinell wear liners, a 27-point shear blade, automatic retaining dogs, over-sized cylinder mounts, and a full eject feature. With auto shear jam correction and auto hopper bridge detection and clearing, this closed end baler can be fed with multiple hopper, tipper, and conveyor set ups.
HM-2R185 Two Ram Horizontal Baler – This two ram baler is ideal for high volume applications. The HM-2R185 creates 30″ x 60″ x 38-51″ (variable length) bales weighing up to 700 lbs. each. It is capable of baling up to 2.9 tons of aluminum cans per hour. It has an extra large feed hopper and is adaptable to gravity, pneumatic, or belt conveyors.
Liquid Extraction Balers
Liquid Extraction Balers – What do you do when you need to dispose of aluminum cans that are full of out of spec product? You implement one of Harmony’s four liquid extraction baler solutions. Harmony manufactures two vertical and two horizontal liquid extraction balers, each designed with specific operational requirements and throughput in mind. Each has stainless steel construction and splash guards to resist corrosion and waterproof switches. They are the solutions that perforate, drain, and bale aluminum, PET, and TetraPak with ease!
ExractPack – The smaller of the vertical liquid extraction balers, this model is typically hand fed, yielding 24”x 16” ≤ 24” bales weighing up to 120 lbs. It perforates, drains, and bales up to 4000 aluminum cans with each bale.
ExtractPack Pro – This intermediate vertical liquid extraction baler stands alone in its class, solving the need for a high volume baler requiring minimal operational space and less of a financial investment than a horizontal baler. The ExtractPack Pro is ideal for contract packagers and distributors, making 42″x 30″x Up To 48″ bales weighing up to 600 lbs.
ExtractPack Plus – The smaller of Harmony’s horizontal liquid extraction baler, the ExtractPack Plus makes 30”x 18.5” x 30” bales weighing up to 220 lbs. It has a large 207 gallons stainless steel liquid reservoir assembly with a custom 2-piece straining system to catch debris. Product is dumped into the 118” L X 103”W X 139” tipper and run through the machine. Watch this informational video on the process here.
ExtractPack Max – Harmony’s largest, high volume liquid extraction ideal for large bottling and brewing facilities. Product is loaded by totes into the large tipper and dumped into the baler to be perforated, drained, and baled. The ExtractPack Max makes 45″L x 42″W x 30″H bales weighing up to 765 lbs. It has a large 117” L X 123”W X 144”H tipper that allows each bale to contain over 25,000 crushed aluminum cans!
