In the heart of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is the eye-catching Kingdom Centre. The Kingdom Centre is considered the most luxurious building in the region. It is 65 stories tall and is the third tallest sky scraper in the country of Saudi Arabia. It includes a mall with hundreds of stores, a connected Four Seasons Riyadh Hotel, offices, apartments, and a Sky Bridge atop of the skyscraper. From the underground parking lot, to the top Executive Level of the building, Harmony Enterprises Inc.’s equipment such as balers and compactors are put into place to maximize recycling and waste management efficiency of the building.
Envirotec gives us an Inside Look at Recycling and Waste Equipment at Kingdom Centre
Envirotec (located in Malaz, Riyadh) distributes Harmony Enterprises’ recycling and waste management products through out Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. Envirotec has sold over 1,000 of Harmony Enterprises Inc.’s balers, SmartPack’s, Indoor Power Packers, and outside compactors throughout Saudi Arabia. Steve Cremer, the President of Harmony Enterprises, Inc., recently visited the team at Envirotec and they gave him a tour of the Kingdom Centre to see how the state-of-the-art building utilizes the recycling and waste management equipment in different areas (You can read more about Envirotec and Recycling in the Middle East here).
How the Kingdom Centre Utilizes Recycling and Waste Management Equipment:
- On the top floor in an Executive kitchen of Kingdom Centre, a 450SS Indoor Power Packer helps to manage the kitchen waste in a sanitary and efficient manner.
- In the Kingdom Centre shopping mall’s food court, there are numerous SmartPack automatic trash compactors that keep the busy quick-serve restaurant area clean.
- In the underground parking lot, a M60STD vertical baler is used to manage the cardboard in the building, so it is ready for easy recycling.
- In the Four Seasons Riyadh Hotel (which is connected to the Kingdom Centre), an M60STD vertical baler is used to recycle both cardboard and plastic.
