A Passion For Excellence
HALCON is an office furniture manufacturer based in Stewartville, Minnesota with showrooms and distribution networks throughout the United States. HALCON Furniture has been designing and producing quality contemporary tables, desks, and seating areas for open offices, private offices, and public spaces since 1977. These pieces are made with the highest levels of craftsmanship using woods, acrylics, and metal finishes.
Like Harmony Enterprises, HALCON is a family-owned Minnesota company that operates with a true partnership approach with all of their customers. They share a common set of core values that drives their mission to “craft precision tailored workplace furniture of enduring quality, backed by a genuine dedication to service.” Their focus on customization and a single, dedicated point of contact for service has allowed them to flourish and lead in the marketplace for nearly 50 years.
Passion For The Environment
In addition to operating in a culture of innovation and passion for excellence, HALCON understands their positive role in environmental stewardship. According to their Chairman and Founder, Peter Conway, “HALCON’s commitment to good stewardship and environmentalism is neither new nor driven by market trends, but rather part of our core philosophy that has been present since the inception of the company.”
This passion for the environment goes beyond words for HALCON. Rather than dispose of their production waste and recyclable material into an open top dumpster, HALCON has invested in three on-site stationary compactors and a 60″ standard recycling baler.

The two Harmony C200 stationary compactors allow HALCON to reduce the volume of waste used in their local landfill, as well as the number of trips and carbon footprint created by the hauler. Stationary compactors provide a 4:1 compaction ratio, meaning that if a business was averaging 4 dumpster pulls per month, they likely only average 1 per month with a compactor. One of the benefits of using compactors is that they can be configured to deposit trash in a variety of ways, depending on your exact needs. With their walk-on deck enclosures, employees spend less time depositing waste safely into the compactor.
Each of HALCON’s three compactors is equipped with Harmony’s state-of-the-art Insite Technology that sends an alert message to the hauler when it needs to be emptied, eliminating unnecessary pulls of containers that are only partially full. This creates a huge cost savings and immediate ROI on their compactor purchase, and is beneficial for the environment. This cutting edge technology can be used on any make or model compactor.
Not only does HALCON utilize the benefits of an industrial trash compactor, they also recycle cardboard and plastics with a Harmony M60STD vertical baler. This powerful baler creates dense, mill-sized bales of recyclables that are easily picked up and transported.
Baling recyclable commodities helps to create a more safe work environment free from hazards and creates a revenue where there was once a waste cost!
