- Recycle old electronics if replaced with new
- For each new toy received, donate toys to kids in need
- For each new piece of clothing received, donate clothing to people in need.
- Avoid wrapping paper garbage – send kids on treasure hunt to find gift instead
- Avoid excessive gifts – make pact to just buy gifts for the kids, not the adults
- Recycle foam peanuts or bubble wrap with local post office or shipper
- Use rechargeable batteries in all the toys and electronics
