Full Product Destruction for the Beverage Industry
One of the challenges that beverage companies deal with on an ongoing basis is the need for full product destruction. Full product destruction for the beverage industry may be due to product shelf life expirations, labeling misprints, marketing mistakes, product recalls, overruns, and returned or damaged products. In the beverage industry, product destruction also requires proper liquid waste management. This needs to be done both safely and efficiently to reduce hazards at the processing facility, but also done according to local, state, and federal disposal requirements.
Balers Extract Liquids and Bales in One Step
Harmony Enterprises, Inc. has a full line of ExtractPack Balers that are highly efficient and cost-effective for product destruction for the beverage industry. ExtractPack balers drain the liquids from the cans or bottles while baling the recyclables in just one step. Depending on the model of machine used, the aluminum, PET, or Tetra Pak containers are punctured, perforated, or crushed with innovative sharks teeth systems or rotating drum perforators. The residual liquid is then drained into large reservoir pans and drained properly using screen filter and pump systems. All of this process is done much more quickly through the automation of the ExtractPack balers versus the traditional method of manual destruction of one product at a time.
Product Destruction without leaving your Factory
Bottling and beverage companies who have the ExtractPack love the convenience! Since they have the product destruction equipment right at their bottling factory, there is no need to transport the full bottles and cans to a third party location, like it was done in the past. All of the product destruction can happen at the bottling facility so management can have total control over the process, minimize the cost, and bale the recyclables to maximize their revenue.
