Servicing balers and compactors in Northern California is no easy job. But with a great team of Lift Truck Service and Harmony Enterprises equipment, baler service can be both reliable and simple…
Off to a Running Start
What started out as a job as a Parts Runner in 1976 for a Baker/Linde dealer, has turned into Greg Radonich’s business, Lift Truck Service, based out of Tracy, CA with 17 employees. Incorporated in 1990, Lift Truck Service is a Linde Forklift Dealership, servicing Northern California. They service all brands of forklifts, balers, compactors and other material handling equipment, including Harmony Enterprises recycling and waste management equipment.
Connecting with Harmony
Lift Truck Service has been working with Harmony Enterprises for the last 14 years and first learned about Harmony through a mutual customer. Greg recalls, “We were working on our customer’s baler and the customer had a national account with Harmony. That customer graciously asked Harmony Enterprises to use Lift Truck Service for installation and servicing of their balers. We have been doing installation, service, and warranty work for Harmony Enterprises ever since!”
Reliability and No Down Time
Lift Truck Service has found that working with Harmony Enterprises has helped them to grow their business because their range of products can solve almost every need that their customer has. But they especially like the vertical baling equipment because of the reliability and ease of doing maintenance. Since the Lift Truck Service team can keep almost all the parts to repair the Harmony balers on their service trucks, there is nearly no down time to the customers. Greg has noticed, “Our customers realize the dependability of Harmony balers and compactors and that they have less down time, and more efficiency equals higher returns.”
Baler Installs and Training
A big part of what Lift Truck Service does is installation of the baling equipment and educating the customer on proper use. Each baler install is different, but on average, it takes Lift Truck Service 3-4 hours to install the baler and provide proper training. Greg explains, “When we install a new piece of equipment, we go over the baler in detail with the employees. The training consists of safety rules, how to use the baler properly, and how to maintain the baler in good working condition.”
Simple but Tough
Greg knows that the decision to work with Harmony Enterprises was a good one, even to this day. He says, “We really like the simplicity of the mechanical parts and the toughness of the Harmony products. There are very little warranty calls. When there is, the service department at Harmony is quick to respond when our service people call from the field with a problem or question. Plus, we love that it is made in the USA.”
