The Winneshiek County Recycling Department recently was awarded the Recycling Facility of the Year Award for 2016 by the Iowa Recycling Association. This is the second time in four years the Winneshiek County Recycling Department has earned this prestigious honor. The last time they received this recognition was in 2012. The award was created to give credit to innovation, community support and partnerships, and environmental impact. It is the highest honor a recycling center and recycling program can receive.
The Winneshiek County Recycling Center has utilized the S60XDRC with a 36-inch conveyor in addition to an M60HP from Harmony Enterprises to assist them in their award-winning endeavors (read an archived customer success story here). These balers help the Recycling Department with their aluminum, plastic, and textile recycling projects.
