The Bardessono Hotel and Spa in Napa Valley is a LEED Platinum Certified Hotel, which is the highest standard for environmental design. They have brought their recycling and waste management “off the grid” by installing a side-by-side solar powered compactor and baler combination. The P4FL Trash Compactor has reduced waste pickups from 16 yards of loose trash to 4 yards of compacted trash and reduced waste hauling expenses by 50%. The M42BC Cardboard Baler can crush 150-200 boxes into an easy to handle 200 lb. bale. Using the solar powered compactor and baler combination allows Bardessono Hotel to enhance their guests’ experience while reducing costs. With no wired electrical hook-up, the solar equipment combo has reduced emissions by 14 tons annually.
