To empty the machine, wheel an empty SmartPack waste cube with a pre-inserted trash liner to the full compactor. Use the key to open the main cabinet. If the unit is full, use both hands to manually turn the controls to the “hand” and “up”settings. This will raise the platen and lock it in the “up” position. Pull the full cube out of the chamber , insert the empty cube with the strap facing outward, close and lock the door.
