Free Recycling Apps
In this technology and data-driven world where we all want answers at our fingertips, mobile apps can be a great way to get your recycling questions answered quickly.
As a recycling resource, Harmony has searched for some of the best free recycling apps. Here are a few that we found and recommend!
iRecycle
Developed by Earth911, iRecycle is the premiere application for finding local, convenient recycling opportunities when you are on the go or at home. iRecycle is free and provides access to more than 1,600,000 ways to recycle over 350 materials throughout the United States. They also post daily sustainable living articles, podcasts, and recycling how-to guides that are available any time you need information. Download iRecycle for your iPhone.
Recycle Coach
Between the fact that more items are made of mixed materials and recycling programs vary in each municipality, recycling can be confusing! The collection schedule, What Goes Where sorting guide, local events and other features in the Recycle Coach app are tailored to each user’s address, so you can focus on what’s relevant to your household. Search your municipality in their easy tool bar to learn more! Download the Recycle Coach App for iPhone and Google Play today!
RecycleBank
When you sign up with RecycleBank, you can earn rewards for recycling! The mobile app allows Recyclebank members to view their points, enter new point codes, set recycling reminders and even order rewards. They also partner with various brands to offer more recycling points and educate the community about recycling. Download the free RecycleBank mobile app for iPhone or Andriod.

Freegle promotes reuse by giving users a platform to give away items they no longer need—and find things others are offering—reducing landfill waste and supporting a circular economy.
EcoScan
EcoScan allows users to scan items for customized recycling advice. Its goal is to help people properly sort their waste and make more environmentally responsible choices.
Recycle Smart
This app is designed to educate users about local recycling rules, offering guidance on what materials are accepted in their community’s recycling program and what should be avoided.
