24V Balers & Compactors Standardized At Harmony
Harmony Enterprises’ Engineering Team designs long lasting quality products that save businesses money, reduce their waste footprint, and improve the environment. These engineering professionals work to continually improve the efficiency, longevity, and ease of maintenance of our quality balers, compactors, and liquid extraction equipment for the benefit of our customers.
Their latest innovation is to make 24V balers and compactors standard within the full Harmony Enterprises equipment line.
Why Standardize 24V Electric Systems?
There are several reasons that making the move to 24V balers and compactors makes sense.
Here are just a few:
- Standardization: As an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, standardization of quality systems and controls is always preferred. This is just another way for us to achieve that goal. Standardized systems allow our talented electric assembler to do their work more efficiently, lowering costs through faster output and reduced potential for rework.
- Simplicity of Electrical Box: Switching to standard 24V systems allows for the reduction of components in the electrical box. A transformer is no longer needed for power conversion from the power supply, creating more space and cleanliness in the box, as well as lower costs.
- Modernization: 24V systems allow Harmony to provide more commonly available modernized switches, sensors, and power supplies. These components have higher efficiency ratings and are often more readily available as off-the-shelf components. These components often light up or communicate their own health status with onboard diagnostics in sensors, for example. This eliminates the need for second service trips and provides the ability to proactively order replacement parts, sometimes even before a problem exists!
- Troubleshooting: Due to their lower voltage, 24V systems can be troubleshooted much more quickly and safely than larger, 110V controls. This means that if your baler or compactor needs service, a qualified technician should be able to troubleshoot and repair or order parts for your unit much more quickly, reducing down time and labor costs.
How Will This Affect My Existing Baler Or Compactor?
Customers with existing 110V systems needn’t worry. Harmony Enterprises is one of the few, if not the only manufacturer to source equipment components for as long as 20 years past the date of manufacture. We are here to support you and your equipment for the life of your baler or compactor and beyond.
Should the time come for you to upgrade your waste or recycling equipment, we will proudly offer our new 24V system for your long, efficient use.
