For over twenty-five years, Mark Blaess has been a dedicated employee of Harmony Enterprises, Inc. Hired as a welder on December 12th, 1988, Mark has been an important part of our growing company for decades! Several years ago, Mark was diagnosed with cancer. Since then, there has been a community benefit for Mark, but the team at Harmony Enterprises Inc. decided that they also wanted to do something to help Mark and his wife, Sue, with the medical expenses.
Raising $3714 for Mark with Lunch and Raffle!
The Next Gen Forward Team (a Relay for Life team consisting of mostly Harmony Enterprises employees) sponsored a fundraiser at Harmony Enterprises, Inc. on November 20, 2015 to help Mark and his family. They served a delicious lunch with a free will donation.
Eighteen items were also available to win on a raffle. They sold raffle tickets for $10 each, and held the raffle later that day. Since we have a wonderful relationship with the team at First Southeast Bank here in Harmony, they also kindly helped us with raffle ticket sales.
All of the food and raffle prizes were donated for this fundraiser. This made it possible to donate 100% of all the funds collected for lunch and the raffle to the Mark and Sue Blaess family- which ended up being a total of $3714! Steve Chiglo, Isaac Kruse, and Andy Ferrie also had a custom welding helmet designed for Mark. Since Mark loves Allis-Chalmers tractors, the welding helmet is Allis-Chalmers orange!
We admire the courage and strength that Mark has shown during his battle with cancer. He is an inspiration to all of us, and we stand beside him as he continues his fight!
