Harmony Enterprises Inc. is proud to be a sponsor of a very special bike ride for a great cause. The ride is called Biking for Peace and it involves two men riding 100 miles each day for 50 consecutive days in all 50 states! The riders are David Jones and Michael Himlie. Michael Himlie is from Harmony, Minnesota and graduated from Fillmore Central High School in 2012. He is the son of Todd and Kay Himlie. The duo is raising funds to benefit Christian Peacemaker Teams, which is committed to nonviolence around the world.
Biking for Peace – The Ride
The ride starts on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at midnight in Kona, Hawaii. From there, they will be taking the same route as the Ironman Triathlon across the lower 48 states, and completing the trip in Alaska. Here is a view of their route. As the team is riding through Minnesota on June 22, they will be passing by Harmony, Preston, Lanesboro, and Rushford. You can view their Minnesota route here. Michael and David encourage people to join them biking and help support their cause. Donations are welcomed on a per-mile basis, whether that be a penny a mile, a dollar a mile, or whatever people can contribute.
