Harmony Honors The Life Of Chris Cremer
Harmony Enterprises was saddened to hear of the passing of former employee and family member, Christopher Cremer this week. It is with the greatest respect that we offer our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and co-workers. Harmony honors the life and distinguished career of Chris Cremer.
Part of the third generation of Harmony Enterprises owners and employees, Chris was first hired as a General Laborer in Metal (the GPI division) in October of 1978. In 1979, Chris became a welder within the same division.
After eight years as a welder, Chris moved to assembly at GPI in 1987 and was promoted to production Manager of the GPI division in 1988. In 1991, Mr. Cremer oversaw Personnel and became the Sales Manager.
Chris’ final title at Harmony Enterprises was that of Vice-President of Operations. He excelled in this role, drawing from his vast knowledge and years of experience in sales, personnel, fabrication, welding, assembly, and sales. He worked closely in this executive role on the company’s leadership team with his father, Don Cremer, and brother, Steve to take Harmony to new heights.
Under his production leadership, Harmony Enterprises grew into one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of long lasting recycling balers and trash compactors. Many of the same machines made during his tenure in the 1990’s and 2000’s are still in use throughout the country today. His focus on quality and efficiency helped to solidify Harmony’s core purpose of providing a wide range of meaningful employment opportunities for people and families in and around the Harmony area. He helped to establish our core focus of career, community, culture, and company.
Mr. Cremer retired from Harmony in 2015. It is because of his hard work and courage to make a difference that Harmony Enterprises can call itself the global innovative solutions provider for the waste handling and recycling industry. We will miss his inspiring dedication to our company and community.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Schmeizer (formerly known as Lindstrom) funeral home in Harmony.
