You can bet that we are proud of where Harmony Enterprises calls home. Harmony, MN is located in southern Minnesota with a population of just over 1000. Doing business in our small town helps us provide a family business culture even though we have 65 employees. Although many of our employees are not from Harmony, they grew up in surrounding communities. The President of Harmony Enterprises Inc., Steve Cremer, is proud of the family atmosphere. He revealed, “Many of our employees grew up with me, or my friends’ children are working here. We even have fathers and sons working together.”
Rural Minnesota Work Ethic
Minnesotans are known for their strong work ethic, and we feel that is especially true in rural Minnesota. Cremer credits his staff for being an instrumental part of Harmony Enterprises’ success. He points out, “The work ethic of Harmony Enterprises’ employees helps us to be very competitive both in price, but especially in quality… In turn, being able to provide our dedicated staff with good paying jobs within our own local community helps support the city and our local economy.”
Our Location is Part of our Strength
Business people from the metro areas of Minnesota and larger cities across the US often ask us how we find qualified employees and are able to compete with companies in larger cities worldwide. Steve Cremer insists that the small town family culture is a strength, not a challenge, as some may think. He explains, “We promote that our small town family culture provides hard working employees that care about the customer and the products they buy from us. We do not treat our employees as a number, and employees look at each customer as just another member of the Harmony Enterprises family.”
International Visitors to Harmony
With our products sold in over 70 countries, it is always a pleasure when a customer comes to visit us in Harmony, Minnesota. Cremer is very proud to show Harmony’s international customers the Harmony Enterprises factory, introduce them to the employees, and what a small town like Harmony is all about. Cremer remarked, “When our customer from the UK visits us, he always goes out to say talk to Larry, the assembler who puts together most of his equipment. He even gets his haircut at Leon’s Barbershop when he is in Harmony…Our customers always truly enjoy being part of our community and many of have never seen so many stars in the sky.”
