Harmony Enterprises is recognized for manufacturing the widest range of long lasting waste & recycling solutions for satisfied customers all over the world. Helping our customers save time, space, labor, & money in their operations while helping the environment isn’t our only passion. Harmony Enterprises cares deeply about our community and is involved with several activities and events throughout the year to make our community a better place to live, work, and play!
How Harmony Cares
Our community supports us in so many ways and it means so much for us to be able to give back. Here are just some of the ways Harmony cares about our community:
Relay for Life – Throughout the year, our employees take part in several events that act as fundraisers to our Fillmore County chapter or Relay for Life. Some of these include breakfast tacos, lefse sales, super bowl appetizer contests, and chili cookoffs.
Give to the Max/HACF – Harmony Enterprises has been a longtime contributor of matching funds for the Harmony Area Community Foundation’s Give To The Max pledge drive every November. The foundation uses GTM funds to support community improvement projects like our city splash pad, veterans memorial, parks and trails, county historical society, and annual 4th of July celebration activities.
First Responders – Harmony Enterprises is blessed to have several volunteer firefighters and paramedics as employees. We support the important work they do as first responders by offering free time off for service calls.
Adopt A Highway – Harmony is passionate about the environment. That’s why we have our own 4 miles stretch of highway that we clean twice a year as part of the MN DOT Adopt A Highway project.
Canstruction/Food Shelf – We are empathetic to the needs of area families struggling with food insecurity. That’s why we have sold recycling and waste equipment to local food shelves at discounted rates and why our employees undertake activities like our annual Canstruction event. Canstruction is an interactive competition in which safety groups build judged structures out of donated canned and non-perishable goods.
4th of July Parade/Entertainment Sponsor – Harmony’s annual town celebration is the 4th of July. The city bustles with live music, food vendors, outdoor family games, car shows, ecumenical church services, golf tournaments, and fireworks. Harmony Enterprises has been a constant parade entry and annually sponsors the live music in Selvig Park, traditionally performed by the Jim Busta Polka Band.
Junior Achievement – Our employees also give back through working with area youth. Our Director of Sales, Nick Roberts has years of service as a Junior Achievement instructor, working with grade school children in his hometown to deliver hand-on immersive learning about business operations, manufacturing, and sustainability.
HACF/WDI/Chamber/Athletic Associations – Other Harmony employees serve on on city councils, local church boards, conservation groups, the Harmony Area Community Foundation, city athletic organizations, and even the SE MN Workforce Development Board of Directors. This sense of civic responsibility put into action is just another way Harmony cares about our community.
Mock Interviews/Internships/Plant Tours – Harmony cares about our local youth and is committed to helping them with work readiness. That’s why we collaborate with Bluff Country Career Navigators to conduct mock interviews with high school students. We work with the City of Harmony and Harmony Chamber of Commerce to write grants and have student interns in the summer. We also offer a variety of educational plant tours for students from several area schools and senior citizen organizations throughout the year.
