What’s Happening At Harmony?
We’ve been so busy promoting our full range of innovative waste & recycling solutions that we thought we should take a moment and share what’s happening at Harmony this summer. In addition to our new product videos, customer success stories, and industry news, there’s plenty happening right here in our own production facility and community! At Harmony, we are focused on Career, Community, Culture, and Company. Here are some things that are happening at Harmony in each of these areas this summer.
Internships Thrive In Harmony
Harmony Enterprises is proud to provide internship opportunities for high school and college students. After a two year hiatus due to the pandemic, Harmony has four interns working in our production area this summer. They perform a variety of tasks, including fabrication, clean up, and more! These full-time interns learn valuable job skills while gaining an appreciation for all of the benefits that come with a career in manufacturing.
Harmony Enterprises helped to write the grant proposal for the local internship program, supported by The Harmony Area Community Foundation and the Harmony Chamber of Commerce. These grants provide limited funding for each intern for the duration of the summer, with the remaining salaries to be paid by area businesses.
Our Robotic Welder Is Coming…
Our Engineering and Production staff is busy preparing for the arrival of our new robotic welder later this month. Many employees are participating in off-site and on-site training involving the programming, operating, maintenance, safety, and jigs related to this cutting-edge manufacturing tool.
Having this advanced technology at our disposal will allow us to be even more efficient in creating standardized parts for our quality, long lasting balers and compactors. It allows us our team members the opportunity to grow within our company and gain new skills, while hiring new employees to help staff their old positions!
We’re Hiring!
Both our first and second shift are operating consistently, helping us to achieve the shortest lead times on equipment like our 60″ balers. With our new internal training and demand for our solutions, we are hiring a CNC operator and welders for either shift, as well as a field service technician.
In addition to competitive pay and outstanding retirement, health, and child care benefits, we are continuing to offer a $500 signing bonus! Visit our Employment With Harmony page to apply online today!
Harmony’s 4th of July Celebration
The City of Harmony has its annual community celebration leading up to and on the 4th of July. Harmony Enterprises helped to support this year’s even in many ways. We had an entry in the parade, featuring one of our service trucks and hiring signs, driven by our Purchasing Manager.
Harmony employees also helped by providing music at the new Veteran’s Memorial unveiled at Selvig Park on July 3rd. This emotional ceremony consisted of an invocation, welcome by the American Legion, and the raising of each service branch’s flag surrounding the new monument.
Harmony Enterprises continued to partner with First Southeast Bank of Harmony in sponsoring the Jim Busta band, featuring Molly Busta. Due to the inclement weather earlier in the day, the band performed in our community center, and not in the parade. It is an annual tradition enjoyed by so many residents and tourists!
